Kelly Slater (USA), 38, former nine-time ASP World Champion and current ASP World No. 1, has recovered from a slow start (Equal 9th) at the season opener on the Gold Coast with a victory at Bells Beach and a Runner-Up in Brazil to land him in his current No. 1 spot.
