Kelly Slater on the cover of Waves MagazineThis board is a 5′6″ x 18 5/8″ x 2 5/16 concave deck (2 inch at center), double stringer, half moon tail 5 fin plugged, re-worked Flyer.

Behind the cover: This board started off as an experiment. Kelly took it down to Mainland, Mexico on a Quiksilver photo trip (all the cypher vision ad concepts you’ve seen lately), then placed second on it at the Pipeline Masters, and now it lands on the cover of Waves Magazine after a memorable session somewhere in Australia. This board has logged some serious miles and might make an appearance in the CI line in 2011… Would you be interested in giving this board a go?

With dismal conditions for the first five days of the waiting period of The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, the mens event is looking to get underway today in less than stellar conditions. The CI team has still been making the most of the waves on hand, trying out a few different boards to see what suits the long drawn out wave of Bells Beach. Dane’s car is stocked full of Dumper Divers, a Rookie he rode up at the Goldy, and an MTF Altered. Dusty has his quiver of Rookie models, while Kelly tried out a roundtail Whip and a swallow tail whip at a secluded right point. Check back for more updates.

Bell's Trek. The trek down to Bells has been a rainy and flat one , but the area never lacks color , everything seems like its to the extreme, sunrises , sunsets ,full moons , rainbows , all except the waves.
